March 2026 — Ministry opportunities

Another exciting month has passed!

On March 1, we visited the First Baptist Church of Cochabamba. Although we were excited to visit, we learned that the church has two female pastors, which differs from our convictions about pastoral leadership. Finding a church where we can serve has been challenging. We continue praying and focusing on our work, trusting God to guide us to the right congregation.

Aviation and maintenance

We have been working hard in the hangar, addressing fuel systems, troubleshooting instruments, and performing scheduled engine maintenance.

Our older Piper PA-31 Navajo needed a propeller inspection in the United States. The technical work is delicate, but shipping, logistics, and paperwork have been the greater challenge. After weeks of arrangements, we were finally able to send the propellers. Their overhaul is complete, and we are now working on the paperwork to bring them back.

Ministry and training

We helped again with the third Chronological Bible class in Quechua. Students gather for two full days each month, with food and lodging provided. Their gratitude encourages us, and we thank God that His Word is being taught in another language.

Together, we are studying AccessTruth Cross-Cultural Essentials. All our missionaries will take this training to help us understand different worldviews, cultures, and languages and better serve in cross-cultural missions.

We also met with three missionary couples to listen and encourage them: Rubén and Shirley, who teach in Quechua; Benjamin and Marta, serving in communications and broadcasting; and Florentino and Jayra, serving in Totora on the Sécure River.

Projects and communication

We are coordinating a project to install three Starlink systems powered by solar panels in villages along the Sécure River, helping missionaries stay connected. We also repaired a BBN AM radio relay station so people with AM receivers in the area can hear the Word of God.

Each week, ITM missionaries gather for chronological Bible study and prayer—in person in Cochabamba and online from other locations. The women also meet for a devotional every Monday. We continue sharing daily life with our missionary team, and Jorge is enrolled in the Baptist Theological Seminary.

Updates on Beatrice

Beatrice has been teaching English to help prepare the team to welcome visitors who will assist with missionary house renovations and rebuilding a collapsed bridge.

At the time of this report, Beatrice was in Dallas and planned to visit her mother in San Antonio for a week. She would not participate in ministry programs from April 4–10, after which she would continue the preparations for her Bolivian residency.

Prayer requests

Please pray that the aircraft parts arrive without delay; that the teams from the United States arrive safely and that their visits bless both them and the ministry; for their protection, health, and well-being; and that missionary families in the villages continue growing and serving without becoming weary.

Thank you for your prayers.

At the end of March, Jorge had the opportunity to preach at Hay Vida en Jesús Baptist Church about how Jesus made disciples. Later that same day, he led a Bible study with several couples from the congregation.
