April 2026 — Serving wherever the Lord leads
Service, provision, and gratitude
At the end of March, Jorge preached at Hay Vida en Jesús Baptist Church about how Jesus made disciples and led a Bible study with couples. At the beginning of April, we participated with ITM in the first missions fair of a school founded by missionaries more than a hundred years ago. Jorge then traveled to Miami to collect aviation parts, spending two long days traveling and waiting in airport lines.
A change of course to San Lorenzo
After waiting for suitable weather, we set out for Oromomo with a local missionary couple and another couple who have helped with infrastructure projects for many years. We planned to rebuild a bridge washed away by the river and work on a missionary home. Low, dense clouds prevented us from reaching Oromomo, so we diverted to San Lorenzo, home of ITM’s Missionary Bible Center (CBM). Five indigenous families were studying there with three teachers living alongside them.
Practical service and time in the Word
We installed air conditioning in the Christian radio repeater room to help protect equipment frequently damaged by heat. We rebuilt two laundry areas and installed water supply and drainage properly. With Bob’s energy and expertise, we repaired a lawn mower and painted an apartment for Luis and Heily, who were preparing to move to San Lorenzo. Despite the busy days, we studied Jonah together every day. It was encouraging and spiritually refreshing.
Back in Cochabamba
With Bob, we built a kitchen space in the courtyard of the Mission House. ITM rents this house for visiting teams from the United States and local missionaries traveling from the jungle to the city.
Beatrice returned from Texas early on April 21. What a joy to be together again! Later, while heading to work at the hangar, Jorge fell and sprained his ankle. Thankfully, there was no fracture. A doctor who is a friend of the mission cared for him, and he was recovering when this report was written.
The Piper Navajo propellers
On April 23, after considerable paperwork and expense, the Piper Navajo propellers finally arrived. Thank you for praying! By the time of this report, they were installed and ready for inspection.
Please continue praying that the Lord will guide us to the church where we can serve.
With gratitude in Christ,
Jorge and Beatrice Rivas

Gracias a Dios, no hubo fractura.
Jorge y Beatrice Rivas
